Elements and Performance Criteria
- Plan and prepare for conducting tracked vehicle/plant operations
- Access, interpret and apply conduct tracked vehicle/plant operations documentation and ensure the work activity is compliant
- Obtain, read, interpret, clarify and confirm work requirements
- Identify and address potential risks, hazards and environmental issues and implement control measures
- Select and wear personal protective equipment appropriate for work activities
- Access, interpret and apply mine environmental data required to complete the allocated work
- Obtain and interpret emergency procedures and be prepared for fire/accident/emergency
- Operate equipment and associated attachments
- Communicate and coordinate activities with others throughout the work activity
- Carry out pre-start, start-up, park-up, shutdown and secure equipment procedures
- Drive and operate vehicle within equipment limitations, and monitor and respond to gauges and systems
- Load/unload personnel or materials
- Carry out towing and pushing of equipment and plant
- Complete the work plan within the operating capacities of the equipment
- Continually monitor hazards and risks, and ensure safety of self, other personnel, plant and equipment
- Carry out operator maintenance
